After working with the UK's Tesco and Sainsbury's supermarkets to establish their retail competence for selling fashion clothing, Australian grocery giant Coles contacted us to help them launch their own exclusive private label clothing brand (Mix).
Visual Thinking worked with Coles operations team to develop a comprehensive range of operational standards documents, training programmes and tools. Bespoke to Coles, they were designed to help the store management and clothing team members, who were all new to selling clothing in a supermarket, learn the basics about how to operate a successful clothing department.
Over 200 people were trained in theory and practical based operations and VM in just one week across 8 different locations nationally, leaving the delegates confident and motivated to run their new 'Mix' departments.
After the successful launch of the first 55 stores, Coles have indicated that Visual Thinking will be engaged again to progress development of the brand and it's retail presence throughout Australia.
