    Client: The co-operative

    Project: Training & Development Tools

    Brief: Moving Images

The Co-operative Supermarkets wanted to get their store and Head office Teams together to review progress at the end of a disappointing trading year.

    Solution: Training roadshows

We organised a series of regional conference events, held as innovative ‘video roadshows’, to engage people with some difficult messages and to involve them in future plans for regenerating the business.

The aim was to explore the cultural and operational barriers affecting performance. We developed a compelling series of candid, thought provoking and inspiring films, that portrayed the Co-Op from a Customer, colleague and stores perspective.

Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell was even rowed in to inspire cultural and behavioural change. The films formed the backdrop for company speakers and a series of lively, facilitated group activity sessions to introduce new initiatives to the store teams for moving the business forward.

Delegate feedback was surprising and highly positive after the events. People commented on the new sense of direction, partnership and purpose that had been established through the honesty and simplicity of communications at the events and the dialogue about new strategic plans to tackle the challenges people faced which had been shared.
