Wilko

VM toolkit provides a home for best practice and focused offer.

Introducing new lifestyle products instore is one thing. Presenting them through compelling and consistent VM policy is quite another. With Wilko intent on delivering new ranges with inspiration and authority, it knew visual merchandising would play a big role in both the shopping experience and commercial success.

Once our initial visual brand audit had identified the key areas that required focus, we set about creating a comprehensive VM toolkit. Launching the VM toolkit was the perfect way to define Wilko’s new policies for product presentation and use of retail space, with practical ‘how-to’ guides giving clear direction to store teams on creating, building and maintaining visually impactful, commercially focused retail displays.

The informative and highly engaging VM toolkit included an activity planner, implementation policy and checklist, team briefing notes and an inspiring DVD, guiding retail managers through the programme and enable them to engage their own store teams effectively. Backed up by a series of engaging and informative training national training workshops, we reached out to around 750 team members, bringing learning to life instore and across the business.
